During this stage, Martin Construction Company studies the working drawings, value engineers the project, prepares pre-construction cost estimates, and develops a preliminary building schedule. Achieving the desired balance of design and value, and a home that beautifully blends both, is fundamental to the success of each project.

For each project, architects, designers, and homeowners can expect the following:

Martin Construction Company’s dedication to its clients extends beyond the building phase. Written documentation, manufacturer and product manuals, and site reviews will instruct homeowners and/or their representatives on how to operate each and every system in their home.
Warranty and repair work will always receive immediate attention. Additionally, Martin Construction Company will schedule a one-year follow up and walkthrough to evaluate wear and tear and any required maintenance.
Having grown up in a family that loves and appreciates the arts, Philip is a true devotee of architecture, design, and all things beautiful. His background and unique aesthetic lend themselves to the building process, allowing for an intuitive and successful collaboration with clients, architects and designers.
Collaboration is always an essential part of Philip’s vision, and he takes pride in being at the helm of an extraordinary team. Collectively, he and his project managers utilize resources and relationships with exceptionally talented craftsmen and tradespeople, seamlessly executing projects with precision and ingenuity.
Philip grew up in Chicago, attended Whittier College, and resides in Brentwood with his wife, Jennifer, and their two kids, Rafa and Simone. In his free time, he loves spending time with family, travel, theatre, outdoor activities, and fitness.
Born and raised in Utah, Jason has over 20 years of experience in both custom residential home building and commercial construction. Jason got his start working as a finish carpenter, and throughout his early career gained hands on experience in nearly every building trade.
Before relocating to Los Angeles, he was a project manager for single family custom homes in resort towns throughout Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Additionally, Jason served as a project and quality control manager for the construction of a Hershey Foods distribution center, military facilities for United Nations, and fire safety and security facility for the Corps of Engineers.
Jason has a degree in construction management from Weber State University and also earned a continuing education certificate in site safety management. It’s his love of the construction process, pride in workmanship, and unmatched work ethic that make him an essential member of our team.
Jason’s hobbies include, motorcycle riding, scuba diving, sky diving, snow boarding, and spending time with his kids.
Vanessa, our Finance Director and Project Coordinator, brings over 10 years of accounting and managerial experience to Martin Construction. Before joining our team, she focused on integrating her financial background with project coordination at a national stone manufacturer and a Malibu based interior design firm.
As finance director, Vanessa serves as the primary point of contact for daily financial operations, including reporting of project budget, committed costs, and costs to complete. As project coordinator, she assists our project managers with subtrade and material bidding, releasing subcontracts, and collecting certificates of insurance. Vanessa also attends and documents all client site meetings.
Even though she’s primarily in the office, she takes pride in our work, and always finds time to sneak onto job sites and connect with subcontractors, see the progress, and share in the building experience. She is an extraordinary asset to Martin Construction.
Vanessa enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their three wonderful children. Her hobbies include being a master doodler and an avid reader.
